The process begins by carefully removing the clock’s movement from its case, dismantling it, and meticulously inspecting every component for wear or damage.

We clean the mechanism in an ultrasonic tank using fine solvents to remove dirt and build-up. Any worn parts, such as pivots or pallet faces, are either restored or hand-made using traditional methods to preserve the clock’s historical value. After reassembly, the movement is lubricated with specialist oils and thoroughly tested for accuracy. Once the mechanism is back in its case, testing continues to ensure your clock runs flawlessly.

From simple polishing and waxing to full restorations involving French polishing and veneering, we ensure the exterior is as stunning as the mechanism within.
