Clockwise Terms & Conditions
Clear Policies for Exceptional Service and Peace of Mind
1. Payment is requested only after your clock has been delivered, set up, and you are fully satisfied with the work.
Payment is due on the same day or by return upon receipt of the invoice.
Invoices outstanding after 7 days will incur a £50 surcharge plus interest at a rate of 10% per calendar month. Any additional costs incurred to recover the debt will also be chargeable.
2. Delivery & Setup
Delivery and expert setup of your clock will be arranged as part of the service to ensure you are satisfied with the restoration.
3. Abandoned Items
Clocks or repair projects left with the workshop for over six months without collection or further instructions will be considered abandoned. They may be disposed of to recover costs and free up storage space.
4. Returns Policy
Returns are accepted on a back-to-base basis unless otherwise agreed in advance. This means you are responsible for returning the clock to the workshop for any adjustments or corrections.
5. Guarantee Period
All repair and restoration services come with a three year guarantee.
The guarantee covers workmanship and materials but excludes damage caused by mishandling, environmental conditions, or accidental breakage.
6. Scope of Work
Repairs and restorations are carried out using traditional conservation methods to preserve the authenticity and value of antique clocks.
Only clocks that fall within the scope of the workshop’s expertise (e.g., longcase, bracket, fusee clocks, etc.) will be accepted. Battery-operated clocks, cuckoo clocks, torsion clocks, and watches are not serviced.
7. Client Agreement
By entrusting your clock for repair or restoration, you are deemed to have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions.
8. Liability
While every care is taken in the handling and restoration of your clock, the workshop cannot be held liable for pre-existing issues, inherent defects, or issues resulting from prior repairs carried out by third parties.
9. Disputes
Any disputes regarding services or charges should be raised promptly and resolved amicably wherever possible.
These terms and conditions are subject to change at the discretion of the workshop. Clients will be notified of any significant updates.
