The Workshop
Trusted Antique Clock Repairs in Gloucester
Each repair starts by carefully removing the movement from its case, examining every component for wear and tear. Components are cleaned in fine solvents and ultrasonically, followed by hand restoration of worn parts.
Pivot holes are pegged and adjusted as necessary. Damaged pallet faces or pivots are refinished or replaced. Precision oiling is carried out and mainsprings cleaned or replaced as needed.
Once reassembled, clocks are timed and tested, both before and after re-casing. Every timepiece leaves the workshop only when I’m confident in its accuracy.

Casework includes light polishing to full cabinet rebuilds using traditional joinery, veneers, and French polishing techniques.
Dials are carefully re-silvered or restored in line with the clock’s historical era.
Delivery and collection are always included where necessary – I treat every clock as if it were my own.
**Note:** I do not service quartz, battery-powered, cuckoo, torsion clocks, or watches.
