The Workshop
Clock Repairs in Coopers Hill
I specialise in antique clock restoration in Coopers Hill, handling each timepiece with precision and care. Every repair begins with carefully removing the clock movement from its case, followed by an in-depth examination of all components. Each worn or damaged part is meticulously cleaned using fine solvents and an ultrasonic bath before any restoration work begins.
Pivot holes are resized or adjusted, pallet faces or pivots are refinished or replaced as necessary, and mainsprings are cleaned or renewed. Every moving component is precision-oiled to guarantee smooth and long-lasting operation.
Once reassembled, each clock is carefully timed and tested through multiple stages before re-casing. I only release clocks from my Coopers Hill workshop when I am fully confident in their accuracy and reliability.
Restoring antique clocks is not just my service—it is my craft and my passion.
Casework & Cabinet Restoration
From a gentle polish to a complete cabinet rebuild, I use traditional joinery, period-appropriate veneers, and authentic French polishing methods. Dials are re-silvered or restored in keeping with the clock’s original style.
Collection & Delivery
I offer careful collection and delivery of your clock when needed, handling each piece with the same care and respect as if it were my own.
Please Note
I specialise exclusively in antique mechanical clocks. I do not repair quartz, battery-operated, torsion, cuckoo clocks, or watches.
